Update
The latest update has detailed the required works: digging in for a new ductwork and new inspection chamber, followed by additional fibre and several rejoining tasks. The indications are that we can expect disruption for the rest of today at least.
We will continue to provide significant updates when we hear of them, with a end of day status as we know it.

Update
We have been advised by third parties that activities to restore the broken connections have now restarted.
All relevant support teams remain engaged and are continuing the repair activities. We will provide further updates as progress is made with the next update due at 10:00.

Update
Please be advised that VMO2 Engineers are continuing to work along third party companies to progress works activities and restore the outage. We have obtained an update on the works schedule which will be allowed to resume this evening as road closure permits has been granted for overnight operations. VMO2 and ERS will resume operations from 21:30 onwards to roll out the fibres section and complete fibres splicing

the issue has been identified by our third party as damaged infrastructure due to ground works off campus, our third party are currently working on restoring services.
